The Port of Tarragona completes the first 460 m of the Balearic Wharf edge beam

has completed the 460-m edge beam on the outer part of the Balearic Wharf using a total of 4,000 m3 of concrete. This week it will carry out the task of moving the formwork trolley to allow construction to begin on the 270-m inner wharf edge beam.

Work on the new Balears Wharf is entering a decisive phase and over the next fourteen months it will transform the face of the Port of Tarragona. This new infrastructure will substantially change the area on the Llevant breakwater used for docking cruise ships, as it will be 460m long and have an area of four hectares.
