Nora Systems - High performance IMO-certified rubber floorings

70 years of expertise in marine flooring made in Germany

For more than 70 years nora systems produces high-quality rubber floor coverings, accessories and stairtreads under the nora brand. Thanks to innovative in-house developments backed up by trend-setting production processes and an uncompromisingly stringent quality assurance system, nora became the number one worldwide in this field.

nora floor coverings are made of rubber, a raw material that gives the products their excellent qualities: permanent resilience, the ability to withstand enormous loads, durability and wear-resistance. nora floor coverings also provide outstanding fire-protection properties (flame-retardant, no corrosive vapours in case of fire, no source for dioxins and furans), meeting all relevant international marine standards. Other benefits are slip resistance, high underfoot comfort, antistatic properties as well as resistance to oil and grease.

IMO-certified Product Portfolio

With designs, colours and surfaces in the standard range alone and uncountable options for custom-made alternatives, nora offers a multiplicity of options to combine functionality, practicality and striking design elements. The comprehensive and compliant marine flooring product portfolio includes customised inlays, ready to use stair solutions as well as a revolutionary fast installation system with pre-applied self-adhesive.

Benefits of nora rubber flooring solutions

  • Outstanding fire-protection properties: fire and smoke behaviour are being tested by independent testing institutes. Carbonisation gases are non-toxic; no corrosive vapours, no source for dioxins and furans occur.
  • Free of PVC, plasticisers (phthalates) and halogens (e.g. chlorine) free from asbestos, cadmium, CFCs and formaldehyde.
  • Extraordinary wear-resistance: extremely long lifespan, thus less frequent need of renovation.
  • No need for extra coating: significantly reduced care and maintenance costs
  • Permanent resilience: lasting high walking comfort.
  • Dimensionally stable: does not contain any plasticisers thus is shrinkage-resistant
  • Antistatic properties: no electrostatic charge build-up from walking, thus no perceptible discharges
  • Anti-slip properties
