Getting hot and cold

As cruise-goer numbers swell and appetite for charting polar regions grows, the pressure is on for vessels to be adapted to both cold and warm weather regions. Carsten Lund, chief commercial officer at SunStone Maritime Group, discusses the benefits of technical consistency and design variability.

Expanding horizons with strategic diversification

SunStone Maritime Group, a leader in the expedition cruise industry, has announced a strategic shift aimed at diversifying its client base. This development marks an exciting new chapter for the company, which has built a strong reputation over its 34-year history for providing high-quality expedition vessels designed for the world’s most remote and pristine destinations.

The Infinity Project to conclude in 2025

Since 2017, SunStone Maritime Group has expanded heavily in the expedition cruise sector with the order of seven Infinity Class new builds designed specifically for expedition cruises. Six vessels are already in operation, and the seventh and final vessel in the series will be delivered on longterm charter to an expedition operator in August 2025.
