Roxtec was founded in Sweden in 1990 with the invention of Multidiameter, a solution for adaptability based on sealing modules with removable layers. It allows designers and installers to perform their tasks without knowing the size or number of cables or pipes in advance. Enabling sealing of various cables and pipes, it minimizes the need for materials and logistics.
The Roxtec sealing system is available for various applications, and for multiple as well as single cable and pipe penetrations. The modules are inserted around the cables or pipes in frames that are welded or bolted into the structure, and the system is sealed with a compression unit. The frames are available in different shapes, materials and sizes. Roxtec continuously adds new cable and pipe sealing products to its portfolio - like the Roxtec Sleev-it seals for plastic pipes.
The Roxtec sealing system can be used all over the cruise liner to seal all types of penetrating cables, steel pipes and plastic pipes passing through decks and bulkheads, in and between different sections and constructions and in various types of cabinets and enclosures.
Thanks to the built-in spare capacity, new cables or pipes can be added whenever it is time for changes or upgrades with new attractions and equipment - without any need for further items or welding. The seals can be opened repeatedly, without jeopardizing the integrity or safety!
Roxtec seals protect against risk factors such as fire, gas and water. Most Roxtec products are approved for use in A class and H class rated sections according to IMO Res. A.754 (18) and SOLAS, and certified by classification societies such as Lloyd's, ABS, Bureau Veritas and DNV.
