Aurora debuts new P&O new livery after £26m revamp

12 August 2014

Aurora will feature P&O Cruises' new look following a £26 million re-fit this winter. The 2,000-passenger vessel will be the first of the fleet to be decked out in a "contemporary version of the Union Flag" on the bow and blue funnels with rising sun designs.

New features for the 76,000-ton boat will include a fine dining Indian-fusion restaurant overseen by celebrity chef Atul Kochhar, a bar with wines selected by TV presenter Olly Smith and Marco Pierre White dishes on gala evenings in the Medina eatery.
Travellers will also be able to enjoy an Oasis Spa, a theatre and a show lounge, as well as children's clubs, a casino, shops and a photography gallery.

The refurbishment will take place from 29 November to 18 December in Hamburg, ahead of Aurora's 14-night Christmas and New Year round-trip cruise from Southampton to Morocco, the Canaries and Madeira, departing 21 December, and the South America and Pacific Adventure world cruise itinerary sailing on 8 January 2015.
